WILMINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA – Sunday, December 9th marks WHQR’s wintertime tradition, Homemade Holiday Shorts. This year’s program features guest appearances by Beth Crookham, Gwenyfar Rohler and Murphy Turner with music by The Swing Shifters. Rob Zapple is the Emcee. The event takes place before a live audience and is broadcast live on WHQR 91.3fm at 6pm. Doors open at 5:20pm. A full reception, including drinks and lavish hors d’oeuvres, will follow the live performance which runs from 6 to 7pm. Tickets are $35 each (includes the performance and reception) and can be purchased at whqr.org. All proceeds benefit WHQR.
Homemade Holiday Shorts returns this year with an exciting slate of guests, wonderful holiday music and a delicious feast. For one evening each year in December, friends of WHQR gather in our gallery and around their radios at home to listen to holiday stories read live by a panel of entertaining guests.
Homemade Holiday Shorts will begin at 6pm on Sunday, December 14th. The reception follows at 7pm. Doors open at 5:20pm and guests must be seated by 5:50pm. The event is broadcast live on WHQR 91.3fm at 6pm. The MC Erny Gallery at WHQR is located on the third floor of 254 N. Front Street in downtown Wilmington.
