Shallotte, NC, Septemeber 10, 2018 – StATUSA will join Catherine Cooke and Brunswick County Chamber of Commerce to commemorate the launch of StATUSA Community Resource Center project with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5285 Main Street, Unit 6 Shallotte, North Carolina. The dedication will take place on Friday, September 21, 2018, at Noon. We will serve light refreshments.
The project intentions are to the provide victim advocates with up-to-date resources; increases access to services for victims; and provides law enforcement, social service providers and community members with the tools needed to facilitate victim identification in Brunswick and surrounding counties. StATUSA; Stand Against Trafficking USA, a faith-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit anti-trafficking organization whose mission is to help survivors of sexual exploitation heal, dream and succeed in life will operate the Community Resource Center. Please hold the dates for the Open House on Friday, October 26th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and the next scheduled Volunteer training will be at the Brunswick County Chamber of Commerce on Friday, October 5th from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM.
StATUSA funded the majority of the project, with donations from the community that we welcome always.
