LELAND, NC – On May 2nd, the Brunswick Community College (BCC) Small Business Center celebrated the opening of the new Center for Innovative Networking and Entrepreneur Groups (CINErG). As Brunswick County’s first co-working space, CINErG offers small business owners and entrepreneurs a place to conduct business, network, and collaborate with others. Membership includes access to private workstations, computers, printers, and conference rooms as well as mentorship on site. April Scott, Director of BCC’s Small Business Center, says the space will be shared by “members who represent a range of different companies and ventures including online sales, insurance, and website design.”
Dr. Susanne Adams, Brunswick Community College President, and Dana Fisher, President of the North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce, welcomed the gathered crowd and addressed the great economic impact the launch of a co-working space will have on the community. Dr. Adams expressed the shared vision of CINErG and the BCC Small Business Center as “committed to providing the space, the support and the accountability that leads to a successful small business venture.” Following the brief program, guests were welcomed to tour the new co-working space as well as the Brunswick Business Incubator workspace bays.
