NC Department of Health and Human Services – Prepare Now for Florence.
Hurricane Florence is a dangerous storm that will have wide-ranging effects beginning Thursday on North Carolina and the people that DHHS serves. All North Carolinians should:
- Have an emergency plan in place and be prepared for possible flooding and power loss.
- Make sure to have an adequate supply of medications.
- Turn around, don’t drown. Don’t drive through standing water.
- Keep gasoline-powered generators and outdoor grills and camp stoves that use charcoal or propane gas outside. Do not use gas-powered generators/burners inside.
